The role Are you the bridge between Business and IT? Do you excel in optimizing engineering processes through innovative applications? If so, we want you! As a Functional Application Specialist, you will lead the development and design of engineering functionalities in our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platform, with a special focus on the 3Dexperience (3DX) platform. You will drive efficiency and effectiveness across our engineering processes, making a tangible impact on our projects. Key accountabilities As our Functional Application Specialist (3DX), you will: Translate engineering business processes into functional specifications for the application. Analyse issues collaboratively with stakeholders and devise solutions. Develop and implement application processes. Maintain relationships with suppliers and knowledge partners. Manage interfaces between applications and user rights within the system. Organize application-related training courses in coordination with the Manager Engineering Support. Provide functional support to PLM/CAD users. Prepare and develop 3DX training materials, tips, application documentation, and user manuals. Skills & experience To excel in this role, you will need: Bachelor degree in engineering, preferably in shipbuilding or mechanical engineering. Proficiency with Dassault 3Dexperience (3DX) platform. Knowledge of PLM principles and experience with functional application management. Excellent command of the English language, with proficiency in Dutch being advantageous. The role As an IT Architect at Damen Naval, you will play a crucial role in conceptualizing and crafting sophisticated infrastructure solutions for diverse IT and business initiatives. Collaborating within the IT Architecture team, you will address unique requirements associated with ship design, manufacturing processes, and naval operations.
