You will be translating complex business processes, into practical software applications. Our applications are built with Python and with Serverless AWS infrastructure CI/CD in a microservices architecture. You are most welcome to think with your team about the use of new technologies, product improvements and the software architecture.

Uitdagingen
As our Lead Mendix Engineer you will be joining a development team with software engineers, a solution consultant, a Scrum master and a Product Owner. You will be responsible for one or more application platforms. These platforms are focussing on specific areas like order management, return systems and special logistical processes, for example the delivery to hospitals. This is about large and mission critical applications with lots of functionalities. Architecture obviously plays a key part in this respect. For instance, you are welcome to decide about functional decomposition of an application or decide which modules need to be (re)used. Dependencies are everywhere, so you can decide how many you want to include. Obviously you are not alone in this, though you can be leading. In your role you don't need to worry about HR-tasks or budget matters. This is taken care of by the Platform Owner. In this way you can fully focus on things like (solution) architecture, CI/CD, scalability, information- and requirement analysis and act as mentor for the teams, from a technical point of view. So, being a Lead Mendix Engineer you can have major impact on the technological change we are going through.
